Bichtar is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), and has obtained a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation with Honours (Bronze Medal) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Simon Fraser University.

Bichtar is a Partner at Williams Meaden Moore and has over 30 years of accounting experience. He specializes in the quantification of Business Interruption, Soft Costs, Delay in Start-up, Property Damage and Stock claims for both insurance and litigation purposes. He has participated in appraisals for business interruption insurance claims and has been involved in major complex losses in various industries including forestry, mining, construction, and energy.

Bichtar’s experience includes being a CFO/Controller in the forest industry, owning an accounting practice and working at a national accounting firm. Bichtar has presented numerous seminars covering various insurance related topics and has been a subject matter expert for the Insurance Institute of Canada’s Business Interruption Insurance textbook.
